Creative Nonfiction, Mystery, Historical Fiction, and Poetry for Children and Young Adults

The newspaper is a great source of information and I get many of my ideas from it.  Adora came from reading an article about the South Carolina Aquarium becoming home to an albino alligator named Alabaster.  Of course, I pictured what would happen if my husband and granddaughters were out fishing and came across such a wonderful site and the story was born from these thoughts.  Protecting earth's animals is important for I feel that is one of man's jobs.  If we can live in harmony with what has been so graciously and bountifully provided, generations to come will enjoy the beauty which surrounds us.  Teachers, please check the resources page for ideas.
