The Making of one acorn's journey...

To begin with, this book was called The Little Acorn.  The native american woman is in character, my great grandmother, Flaudia Verecia Harrelson Currie.  She was a woman who loved the gentleness of nature and was a peaceful spirit herself.  When I visited Angel Oak with my granddaughters, I was struck by the beauty of this amazing live oak tree so my story was rewritten to become the legend of Angel Oak.  Teachers may go to resource page for ideas.  Happy reading!  Don't forget to let me know how you like it!
